The preserve is open year round, seven days a week, and the shooting facility is opened year round. Oak Creek Club is a licensed game preserve by the State of Nebraska, where there are no bird limits.
We opened our doors in September of 1999, and since then many changes have occurred. We started out with 320 acres in the hunting preserve, and now we currently have over 1,000 acres. On the sporting clay course we started out with five manual throwing stations on a 1/8 mile course, upgrading now to a 1.1 mile, 20 station course with automated throwers. We also have a rifle range, 20 station 3-D archery course, and on a limited basis, deer stands for archery and black powder.
Our mission at Oak Creek Sporting Club is to provide a facility for the entire family to enjoy. Whether you're brushing up on your shooting skills or upland bird hunting, you can be assured of having an experience to remember. As things progress at Oak Creek, our future plans include automating all 20 stations with multiple throwers, adding a building for bird cleaning, building a facility to handle large groups, and adding a well and restrooms. Dreaming is not a problem with this group and if anyone has any suggestions or comments, they are always welcome, we want this to be your facility also.
