Buckshot Run is a 4th and 5th generation family farm. We offer deer and turkey hunting with fresh home cooked meals - Nebraska style. Hunt on 4,000 acres of private hunting grounds. Prime deer habitat in cedar and oak hills and riverfront in the beautiful North Loup River Valley just 40 miles north of Grand Island. Buckshot Run gets its name from an Indian fighter and government scout, Conrad Wentworth, or "Little Buckshot", who homesteaded along the Deadwood Trail, just east of the North Loup River. (Loup is the French name for wolf.) From the Missouri river to the Rockies, Little Buckshot was a well-known picturesque personality who figured prominently in the settlement of the Loup Valley. He came to the Loup Valley in 1871 as a scout for the first troops sent to guard settler's homes. * Remains of Little Buckshot's homestead on the Loup can still be found on the Wells family farm.

Deer hunting- Hunt whitetail and mule deer on 4,000 acres of private land in the Scenic North Loup River valley. Our hunts include transportation to the hunting areas, stands, transportation to the locker, and delicious home cooked meals at our Deadwood Hideout Hunting Lodge. Not included, game preparation and processing fees.
Ammenities- In your spare time/break time, we offer varmit and upland game hunting, in season, as part of your hunting package. Hunt pheasant, quail, prairie chicken, rabbit, squirrel, prairie dogs and varmits such as raccoon, and coyote.
