Larry Frimann has been hunting ducks and geese since the age of six. For Larry there is nothing better than calling in a flock of ducks or geese and watching them finish within a few feet of your blind! As an avid caller Larry finds his fun in hunting with friends and calling birds to decoy. Larry grew up in western Nebraska hunting with his family and friends, and now lives in Omaha with his wife and son Jay Brinda has been an outdoor enthusiast his entire life. Living on a sandhills ranch helped him develop a passion for hunting. Like other water fowlers the sight of a greenhead plummeting from the sky, the distant honk of a Canada goose, and the view of thousands of snow geese have awed and inspired him to pursue them. Black Goose Outfitters is located out of central Nebraska. We specialize in waterfowl hunts for Canadas, Specks, Snows, Blues and several different species of ducks. We do most of our hunts out of pit, above ground, and lay down blinds. We do all of our hunting on private land. You will not have to worry about hunting pressure! SASKATCHEWAN FALL WATERFOWL HUNTS Saskatchewan hunts will be based out of the town of Hershel, SK. This is some of the finest waterfowl hunting one may ever experience. Your morning hunt begins at 4:00 a.m. with a home cooked breakfast. Then we will travel out for our morning hunt of snows, blues, specks, Canadas, and ducks. We will usually return back to our hotel around 12:00 - 1:00 for lunch. After a short break we will depart for our afternoon hunt of either ducks or cranes depending birds in the area. We have one guide in the field for the hunt, while two scouts are looking for your future hunts. Scouting for birds is a key part of hunting northern grain fields. When the afternoon hunt is over, we will retire to the hotel for supper. We only take one party of hunters at a time. We want to concentrate on your party to ensure you experience the best possible hunt. Most Saskatchewan hunts are in harvested grain fields over 50 dozen Snow, and Blue goose full body decoys, 10 dozen speckle belly , and 10 dozen lesser Canada decoys. Dependent on birds in the area decoy spreads vary in size, and in content of decoys. Wet conditions require the use of our silo sock decoy spread. The use of white suits is effective, especially in pea and short stubble fields, and our normal camouflage however not as comfortable as lay down blinds when hunting for snow geese. When it is possible we will place you in blinds. In following regulations we use white decoys only with electric calls, you are welcome to bring your calls. Nebraska Fall Waterfowl Hunts Our Nebraska fall hunts take place on a private lake south of Ainsworth. These hunts are out one of our two above ground heated blinds. Ducks and geese use this lake for both a local roost and as a migration stop. Expect a mixed bag at this hunt ! Lodging can be arranged for you at the Super Motel in Ainsworth, Or at the Pines Cabin in Long Pine. You are always welcome to help with decoy setup and placement. |  |
